His parents are the actors Mário José Paz (Argentinean) and Ana Elisa Paz (Brazilian). He grew up in the midst of art and sports. As an athlete, he highlights among his skills, the practice of surfing, which he has been doing since he was in school: soccer, karate, running and swimming. In the arts, the Argentinean and Brazilian actor, who was born and raised in Búzios (Lakes Region in the state of Rio de Janeiro) has been living with “lights, cameras and action” since he was very young as his family owns Cine Bardot and created Buzios Cine Festivals for 26 editions. It was on the red carpet of the event that he had his first contact with the profession, which he would embrace years later.

Even with so many inspirations and references, Francisco decided to study Sociology and Political Sciencesat PUC – (PontifíciaUniversidade do Rio de Janeiro). As he felt in love with Art, halfway through the course, he decided to embrace it and to go to an acting school without dropping out of the university. In one of his first roles, he acted as a protagonist in the shows “NossaCidade”, directed by Fernando Berditchevski, his teacher at Tablado (acting school); and “Doze Homens e Uma Sentença”, produced by his mother. Even before finishing his graduation, he took another immersion in the arts, joining the courses at Casa da Cultura Laura Alvim and at the Actors Workshop at CAL (Casa de Artes das Laranjeiras).

After graduating in Sociology, he looked forward to the Art, the profession that has won his heart. At this time, he chose to specialize in Argentina, as he is also an Argentinean citizenship. There, he studied at “Estúdio de Carlos Gandolfo Para la Preparaciondel Actor”, at “Escuela de FormacionActoral Agustin Alezzo” and “Centro Latinoamericano de Creación e InvestigaciónTeatral”, all of them in Buenos Aires. “I am passionate about Argentinean cinema. My option to specialize in that country is due to the fact that I can work both in Brazil and there, acting and producing”, he says. In Argentinean cinema, he also participated in the co-production between the two countries, “Tampoco Tan Grandes”, by Frederico Sosa, and in Brazil, he produced in the Argentinean film “Corazon de Leon”, with Guillermo Francella. When shown in Argentina, it was the greatest box-office hit in 2013.

Still in Argentinean theater, he participated in “Antígona 2040″, a futuristic staging of Sophocles’ classic. In Brazil, took part in the cast of films such as “Porque as ValsassãoBreves”, by Daniel Herz, and “O ÚltimoYoutuberVirgem”, by Miguel Rodrigues. On television, the highlights are the fourth season of the series “Um Contra Todos”, on Fox Brasil and the second season of the series “NaturezaMorta”, on the Cinebrasil TV channel.
