One of the main young actresses in Globo TV's cast, Isis Valverde was born in Aiuruoca, south of Minas Gerais state. Daughter of a biochemist and a lawyer, she dreamt of becoming an actress since she was a little girl.

At age 15, she left her city of birth to go to high school in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais, where she lived alone for the first time in her life. Her beauty caught the attention of a talent hunter at age 16, while taking a walk in a shopping mall. Working as a model, Isis took part of several advertising campaigns in São Paulo, some of them broadcasted in other countries. Through her portfolio at Ford Models she was invited for some tests at Globo TV.

In her debut at Globo TV, in 2006, she brought to life the mysterious Ana do Véu, a young and repressed 19th century woman who unveils a whole new life by getting rid of a bothersome veil in Benedito Ruy Barbosa's Sinhá Moçasoap opera.

Like Rakelly, from the soap opera Beleza Pura (2008), the beauty showed her comic vein. In Caminho das Índias (2009), rebel Camila, won the heart of the public. And how can I not remember the sensual Suelen of Avenida Brasil (2010) or the axé singer of O canto da Sereia (2013), among other hits?

One of her most important roles on TV was in 2017, when she gave life to the mermaid Ritinha, an idealistic young girl who won the hearts of Brazilians in the most successful soap opera. She danced “carimbó”, swam with dolphins in the Amazon rivers, did apnea for recordings in the aquarium and showed all the natives’ wealth from the north of the country. She was considered the Best Actress of the Year by “Isto É” magazine.

In the cinema, Isis debuted in 2011, as one of the main actress of the feature film Faroeste Caboclo, by René Sampaio. In the film, inspired by the homonymous song of the Legião Urbana group, she played Maria Lúcia, the great passion of João de Santo Cristo who is the main actor of the story. In 2017 there were two box-office hits: the romantic comedy "Amor.com", in which she was a blogger who does everything for not to expose her relationship, and also in the film Malasartes e o duelo com a morte, in which she gave life to Aurea, a young countryside girl that dates Pedro Malasartes (Jesuíta Barbosa). In 2018, the  feature film Simonal Isis performs Tereza, the singer Wilson Simonal’s wife, one of the most popular Brazilian’ singers.

Being aware of the responsibility and the challenges of committing herself to the art of acting, Isis tries her best to improve herself every day by studying different techniques of video and theater, seeking to become a renowned actress, recognized for her talent.
